Our first Isaiah 117 House in Indiana is officially open! Vanderburgh County cut the ribbon on their home on July 20, 2020 in a remodeled home.
Vanderburgh County Program Coordinator, Maddie Mitchell’s Isaiah 117 House story:
I first encountered the Isaiah 117 House while working at the Department of Child Services. Knowing how hard the removal process is without an Isaiah 117 House made me so much more appreciative and eager to get involved with the Isaiah 117 House. I was able to see first-hand how loving and impactful the house can be for children, even on the hardest day of their life. The lavish love and warm smiles at the Isaiah 117 House allowed the children to feel safe and loved. Many of the children that I brought to the Isaiah 117 House would ask months later if they could go back to the house because of the love they felt there! When the opportunity to get involved with the Isaiah 117 House opened up, I prayed and knew that God was calling me to this mission! I am now able to lavishly love on children, foster families, and caseworkers. It is such a blessing to be able to be the hands and feet of Jesus while letting children know that Love, you’re not alone!
